O! KULT (O! CULT) from Ljubljana was never a band that played to entertain the audience, but they forced them to act and take a stand. This LP contains live- and studio-recordings from 1982/83 in very good sound-quality that were issued only on cassette back at the time in former Yugoslavia!
Influences reach from CRASS and POISON GIRLS to DEAD KENNEDYS and SHAM 69 but more on the post-punk side!
In addition, O! KULT own fanzine is also available inside the LP. It came out for the first time with their only cassette that was released in 1983 - and now it's time again!
This release looks like all other LPs on NE! records: gate-fold sleeve and printed inner (incl. lyrics in English and rare photos from their first gig).

800 copies of the LP were pressed (300 black/ 200 red/ 200 yellow/ 100 clear) and 500 come with a CD.

Darauf haben viele gewartet: Das erste TOXOPLASMA-Album seit 19 Jahren!! Die fertigen Aufnahmen wurden komplett in die Tonne gekloppt. Alle Songs hat man neu eingespielt. Das Coverartwork wurde ebenfalls verworfen. Und die Suche nach dem neuen Motiv zog sich ewig in die Länge. Jetzt passt alles. Der Gesang von Wally ist bei Songs wie dem genialen „Zackzackzack", bei „Köter“ und "So oder so" von bitterem Hass durchzogen. Das ist schiere Aggressivität und Wut. Perfekt kanalisiert und durchs Mikro geballert. „Gegen Wände rennen, brüllen bis sie bersten. Spür die Wut, wie weh sie tut. Köter. Alles was den Weg versperrt, zerfetzen und verletzen. Und das was hindert, zerbeissen und zerreissen!“ Die 12 Songs sind insgesamt eine Mischung aus der legendären ersten und der "Leben verboten"-LP von '93, kommen aber doch in einem aktuellen, zeitgemäßen Gewand. Die Songs gehen oft ohne Umwege voll geradeaus, besitzen aber auch Melodien und einen leichten Hardcore-Einschlag. Insgesamt eine überraschend gute Platte! Anspieltipps: "Kastrierte Jugend", "Plastiktüte"und "Der Teufel verdirbt die Jugend"!

NEU im Mailorder: BLUTTAT - Raw And Pure 1981-1984 LP+MP3

Insgesamt 16 Songs: Enthalten sind die 6 Sampler-Tracks aus den Jahren 1981/1982, wovon die 4 Stücke: "Mikel", "Ohne mich", "Krieg dem Krieg" und "I'm feeling down" in textlich erweiteter Form später auf den ersten beiden LPs von BLUTTAT erschienen. Vor allem aber gibt es die 10 Tracks des „Pre-Cash Demos“ von 1984 erstmals auf Vinyl. Alles wesentlich einfacher, härter und natürlich roher als das 2 Jahre später, sauber produzierte dritte Album „Cash, Invoice Or Credit Card“. Auch die Demo-Versionen enthalten zum Teil andere Texte, wie z.B. bei „Lovesong“ oder das Stück „Running“ wurde hier noch von Sängerin Atti gesungen. Die ursprünglichen rauen Versionen des ´84er Demos waren im Sound die konsequente Fortsetzung der zweiten LP „Nkululeko“ (welche kurz vorher erschien) und ist im Endeffekt das Puzzlestück zwischen dem zweiten und dritten Album, anhand derer man die musikalische Entwicklung der Band vollends nachvollziehen kann! Auf dem Texteinleger befindet sich eine geile Zeichnung von Sängerin Atti und die Fotos im gesamten Artwork waren bisher unveröffentlicht!

GOLA JAJA - 1981-82 LP + CD (NE! records)

NE! records: "The second LP with Gola Jaja makes me really happy! Although I listened more to the studio material recorded in 1984, there was always some drawing power in their first two demos. The sound here is slightly worse, quite unpolished mid-tempo straight teenager 77 punk and the lyrics are sometimes just a few lines. All of this makes it became only more charming. Now when I hear it from vinyl, it actually sounds much better and more even more compelling. The record is just as every other NE! release, packed in a color gate-fold cover with a little band history and an inner-sleeve with all the lyrics in both English and Croatian. 500 copies including a CD copy.

GOLA JAJA: "Sale from KUD IDIJOTI has "dug" in his large audio archives and found demos from '81 and '82. Because this material was in pretty poor quality, which is understandable because of the time that has passed since the songs were recorded and the lack of better technology used at the time the recording took place (and because we were too young and were not particularly musically talented) we were unsure whether we should publish this material. But at the urging of the publisher NE! Records from Sweden we agreed that the material should be published due to the fact that some songs that really defined "Gola Jaja" as a band and songs that became (not to be modest) legendary. The songs were a part of growing up for some of our generation. In addition to the people scattered throughout the world who would love to have them in their collection. So we chose an audio-visual documentary release that would show band even through the early years (like a collage with our photos and band history).

Edition also includes commitment to Denis Barlijan, our friend who was the lead singer, lyric writer and composer; band's "heart and soul" who left us too early and that we are indebted to his songs and his dreams preserved and transmitted to the next generation of the new ..... rebel R.I.P.”
